While we are most often represented by politicians who are either democrats or republicans, most of the people in Oklahoma are simply "everything in between", and although we sometimes disagree politically, we can all still agree on one thing: the greatness of Oklahoma.
One of Oklahoma's finest qualities is its diversity. If asked to name an ethnic group in Oklahoma, many would answer with "Native Americans." Oklahoma's Native American roots run deep, and the cultures of our many Native American tribes are still kept alive today. However, Oklahoma contains people of many other ethnicities from all over the planet. These ethnic groups, while too numerous to list, are all equally great, and here in Oklahoma people are never turned away because they are different. Oklahoma is truly a cultural melting-pot filled with people who love diversity.
Another great thing about Oklahoma is its educational system. Everyone in Oklahoma is not only allowed, but encouraged to achieve an education, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or social status. Oklahoma's educational greatness does not end at the high school level by any means. While Oklahoma is home to many great small colleges, it is also home to a pair of much larger schools: OU and OSU. Even though most citizens of our state have strong opinions on which is better, they are both great, and have each received recognition in both academic and athletic endeavors. Oklahomans are able to receive the best educations and training in the country.
Finally, is Oklahoma's current and growing beauty. Most Oklahomans do not fully appreciate the beauty of our state, but they should. Oklahoma is home to several large and beautiful lakes, lush country sides, fields of golden waving wheat, and even a few mountains. Oklahoma's beauty, however, does not stop with it rural areas. Our cities also contain many beautiful museums and even spectacular shopping areas. The people of Oklahoma are constantly working to enhance its beauty in countless ways, including both the preservation of our natural attractions and the development of modern ones. The possibilities for Oklahoma's future are virtually endless.
Oklahoma is great, and while we could never capture all of its greatness in a collage or in this essay, we strived to represent all Oklahomans who have made it the wonderful place it is, regardless of whether they are donkeys, elephants, or the majority who are simply "everything in between."
