#157 Most Beautiful by Beverly Bower and Steve Eagleston
Blackest night Balances grayest light Becomes early morn
Streaming, yellow, gold, orange Into green and greenest green, forest
deep Bits and pieces Are what we see Nothing in particular
Yet, everything All at once Art, people, birds and trees
Earth, sky, fields and rocks, You and Me Woven into one
another Integral to the tapestry
Imagine a time when humanity prevails, technology follows, and mankind realizes
a symbiotic relation to natureÕs land and creatures, to the universe, and
perhaps even to worlds beyond.
Envision a place where generations of people, bound by history, warmly embrace
a future together, a place where diverse communities unite.
Communication is the common thread that ties us all together. So easily broken,
we must remember that each individual thread adds to the strength of the tapestry.
We choose, in 200O, how to use this vast and unlimited power. Each time we
say hello or click send, each time we view tragedy or read the thoughts of
others, each time we write a letter or hang up the phone, we weave the future.
